Psalm 110: All about Jesus
When Peter got up to talk, after the Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost, he told everyone that Jesus was raised by God to rule with God, just like it says in Psalm 110:
(Acts 2: 34-26)
The LORD says to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand
and I will make your enemies into your footstool”
Peter re-read Psalm 110 in a whole new way:
It was about Jesus! All about Jesus!
Jesus is Lord, one with the Lord God!
Jesus is Priest, bringing us to the Father.
Jesus has the victory, with power, over evil.
Jesus is King, and his kingdom will have no end.
Jesus is risen, drinking living water
and pouring it out in a mighty flow of Spirit,
on the day of Pentecost
and on you and me.
