Psalm 137: By the rivers of Babylon
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down and there we wept when we remembered Zion. Our enemies have dragged us far away. ‘Cheer up!’ they say, ‘sing for us!’ but how could we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?? We remember everything about our home We will never forget where we belong. We ache with missing our home and feel that we will never sing again. |
